Lately, I’ve been getting questions about whether I actually believe in “astrology.”
The answer is: Yes, I do. It reveals the authenticity of being — through what you do or don’t do, through what you are or aren’t, through what you express or choose not to, and so on.

At my core, I was trained as an engineer: technical fields, physics, and mathematics.
At its core, astrology is also a technical, physical, and mathematical discipline.
In its simplest form, an astrological chart is about positions, angles, degrees, minutes, and the relationships between them — formed through connecting lines and aspects. On a chart, you’ll see triangles, rectangles, squares, hexagons, and various combinations of these and more.

Today, there are plenty of tools that calculate these relationships automatically. But not so long ago, they had to be calculated mathematically by hand and drawn with technical precision, manually.

I chose this day — April 24 — as a study of the events highlighted by a chart and how things unfold, especially when you’re being authentic. When you do what you’re meant to do.
For me, this date marked a journey. A powerful one. I left with Uranus at its anaretic degree in Taurus and returned with Uranus freshly entered into Gemini.

02:56 AM – Saturn’s moment 🪐
This was the time I woke up naturally. The sense of responsibility tied to memory kicked in and pulled me out of sleep — no alarm needed. By around 3:30 AM, I was already getting organized.
Saturn is about responsibility, limits, boundaries (and pushing beyond them), stepping out of your comfort zone (both figuratively and literally), structure, seriousness, time, accountability, and authority.

03:46 AM – Jupiter’s moment
This was when my energy got a big, positive boost, building on the organized momentum from Saturn. The journey itself had already sparked enthusiasm, curiosity, and openness in me.
Jupiter is about amplifying whatever state you’re in when it takes the spotlight.

04:37 AM – Mars’ moment
This was when I started preparing to get moving — physically getting ready to leave. I made sure I had the essentials with me, then everything else. The action also involved finding transportation, so by around 5:10 AM, I was already on the move.
Mars is about action — physical drive and mental energy.

05:28 AM – The Sun’s moment ☀️
This was the time I arrived at the departure point, which felt like fully identifying with the place and the moment. Thanks to Jupiter’s expansive energy, there was an unexpected abundance of people. But that same energy also made things flow smoothly — I was in line for less than five minutes before things moved forward.
The Sun is about life force, vitality, who you really are, and what you identify with.

06:17 AM – Venus’ moment
This was my moment of pleasure and relaxation. I was enjoying a good coffee in a comfortable, cozy, uncrowded, and civilized space.
Venus is about pleasure, luxury, comfort, money, and access to all of these.

07:26 AM – Mercury’s moment
This was when the actual journey began. Around the same time, I had the idea to write about this topic after “accidentally” (yeah, right!) checking the planetary hours for the day. The connections clicked instantly. I wrote this during the flight.
Mercury rules short trips (both in distance and duration — usually up to a few days, depending on context), ideas, the mind, writing, technology, air, and communication.

08:36 AM – The Moon’s moment
This was when my emotions and feelings felt perfectly aligned. In that quiet state, I simply knew I was in the right place. At the same time, the announcement for landing began. For some people that can trigger all kinds of emotions — for me, it brought a smile. It was also the moment I finished writing this piece. At 09:45 AM, the cycle started over with Saturn 🪐, the same planet I began with.
The Moon represents what we feel, how we feel it, our connection to our mother (and by extension, to the life we were born into), emotions, feelings, and all our inner states.

These moments didn’t just align for me. They align for each of us, depending on what we’re going through in our own lives.
If we observe them consciously and observe ourselves with awareness — if we stay open and attentive — we can recognize how authentic any situation is and how well it fits who we are in that particular moment.

Yes, I believe in astrology as it is because it shows existing potential, the doors that are closed and the ones that are open, the opportunities available, as well as the situations it’s wise to stay away from.

What we do with all of that and how we approach it… that’s already a matter of personal choice.

Iris, yours always!
