Holy Weekend & Light of Lights

Holy Saturday Transition into Tarus

Wow, what a week—Holy Week, no less.

Have you noticed how all the emotions, experiences, and thoughts seem to condense so deeply during a week like this? It’s intense.

From an astrological perspective, the transits and aspects this week have been profound. If you’re thinking, “Eh, just a coincidence,” then maybe you haven’t felt it. Or perhaps you did feel something but brushed it off. Ignoring those feelings? That’s the root of a lot of situations—dare I say, problems.

This weekend, two major astrological events stand out, and they’re about Mars and the Sun.

On Good Friday, 18th of April, there’s a shift in energy. Mars—the planet of action, passion, drive, and motivation—moves from Cancer to Leo ♌️ 🦁.

This shift makes it easier to tap into Mars’ & Leo’s energy, qualities and apply them to what we’re working on. We have a chance to channel them in their noblest, most pleasant, and majestic forms (think Leo’s regal vibe) or, on the flip side, in ways that come off as aggressive, angry or confrontational. This transit also stirs up our survival instincts.

My advice? Stay peaceful! We’re good! There’s enough and there’s space for everyone under the sun. 🌞

It’s no accident this shift happens on Good Friday. Maybe, just maybe, the energy of this day of deep suffering can inspire us to rise above. In a world still grappling with the legacy of slavery—literal and metaphorical—we need a higher consciousness to recognize and accept suffering. At the same time, we must honor this moment of profound pain that shaped humanity, giving us access to the gifts of life that many of us now call “normal.” (Side note: slavery, too, was once considered “normal.” End side note.)

Back to Mars: until June 17, while it’s in Leo, let’s dive in and take action toward our highest goals. Let’s fulfill ourselves by chasing our dreams. Let’s learn to seize these moments and let go of ignorance, apathy or the urge to step over others for some so-called “success.” That kind of climb? It’s never real or authentic if it demands crushing others. You can only achieve what’s divinely meant for you—and that comes with natural ease.

Today, just an hour before the celebration of the Holy Light, Resurrection, and Life (Romania time), the Sun moves into Taurus. Another energy shift, this time from Aries to Taurus. As this profound holiday awakens a new light within us, sparking renewal, the Sun’s shift makes it literal. We have a month to grab the bull by the horns and honor our lives—nurturing and growing them in the most beautiful, humble ways. What that looks like is personal, but at its core, beauty and humility mean love. It’s that simple!

Let’s allow—metaphorically speaking—the light to pierce the darkness. Let’s allow ourselves to be the resurrected light!
