Squares, Challenges and Conscious Choices

Week of April 21–27, reminds us how close we’re getting to the end of this month. It’s a week packed with challenging vibes. It’s almost as if the humility and kindness we felt leading up to Easter never even happened. That’s how intense things might feel.

Right at the start of the week, the ☀️ Sun—symbolizing life and hope—freshly entered into Taurus ♉️, finds itself clashing with Mars, which is sitting boldly in Leo ♌️🦁, a sign ruled by the Sun itself. Two powerhouse energies are butting heads, each trying to outshine the other. Even though we’ve got plans, it’s like we’re second-guessing ourselves, tripping over our own feet, and struggling to see eye-to-eye with others. One minute we’re on the same page, the next we’re changing our minds. There’s a temptation to act against those around us. Let’s not forget that Lilith is moving through Scorpio ♏️, a sign ruled by Mars, while Mars in Leo ♌️ is stomping over anything in its way to get what it wants—even if that “win” ends up being useless in the end.

On a personal level, this tension will hit the areas of your natal chart where Taurus ♉️ and Leo ♌️ fall. Broadly speaking, the themes revolve around earthy matters: resources of all kinds, but especially material values—money, money, money 💰—as well as entertainment and fun 🥳, sex and the manipulation that can come with it, and love or fleeting romantic adventures 💘🖤.
So, until the end of April, let’s commit to not sabotaging ourselves or acting against others. If we choose to go down that road anyway, we’d better brace for the boomerang effect when it comes swinging back at us.

This week is a golden opportunity to use our minds, ideas, and communication in ways inspired by a higher purpose (Pluto in ♒️ Aquarius). Trust me, that’s the best way to navigate this period. When you’re at a loss for words, ask for divinely inspired guidance. Ask, and you’ll receive—you’ll know exactly what to say or do, and it’ll feel clear, accessible, and well-received.

Midweek, the Sun 🌞 gets some friction from Pluto. The advice here? Don’t fight against life itself. Instead, let the Divine Will flow through you, aligning with a bigger plan that we, as individuals, can’t fully grasp. One of Romania’s most skilled astrologers, who mentored me (and others), once explained that any human struggle against life is a losing battle. Life always wins. So, let’s team up with life, allowing it to guide us toward what’s right for us. Use what you have—your skills, resources, and connections—for yourself and those around you. Let’s come together to build bonds of protection 🪬, support, and collaboration 🤝 in every situation, every chance we get.

As the week winds down, Venus and Saturn meet again in Pisces ♓️, laying another brick in the foundation of faith in the divine, in God. This alignment pushes us to take responsibility for our beliefs. We’ll receive exactly what we believe in, in proportion to the depth and truth of that belief.

The weekend is shaped by the rulers of Scorpio ♏️ and the New Moon.

On one hand, Mars in Leo ♌️ and Lilith in Scorpio ♏️ are at odds. We’re being called to transform, and it’s wise to choose transformation through constructive actions and activities, no matter how tough or challenging it feels. We’re warned that reckless anger or aggression will cause damage to everyone involved—no exceptions. Lilith and Mars just want to do whatever they please; they hate being tamed or told what to do. That’s why we’re urged to avoid acting on impulse or falling into old reactive patterns. Take a breather. Reflect on what’s driving you to act the way you want to. Then, shift your approach and your actions to focus on what benefits everyone.

On the other hand, Mars and Pluto are in a fierce face-off. This is where the risk of self-sabotage is highest. Let me be clear: any obsession you’re clinging to, any action you’re tempted to take that you already know—deep down, from past experience or a gut feeling—is destructive to you and others, will hurt you first and foremost. Now is not the time to be overly ambitious, to puff out your chest, or to dig in your heels. Whatever we do now needs to serve a constructive purpose, not just prove a point. It should benefit the collective, not just the individual—at least not at the expense of others’ success. Pluto here represents the collective, standing in opposition to the individual. What’s good for the group translates directly to what’s good for you, one-to-one. Keep that in mind.

In the final hours of the week, the New Moon in Taurus forms on April 27 at 10:30 PM. I’ll cover this event in a separate, dedicated article, as the Moon always deserves special attention, and that’s how I like to honor it. For now, just know this astrological event is coming.

Every time we make conscious, intentional choices, we gain clarity about their outcomes. We can revel in the results if we choose actions rooted in a desire for the highest good. Let’s keep our hearts connected to the Light of the Resurrection, that we still carry. The new will manifest within us and in every aspect of our lives.
